2026 is the 25th Anniversary of 9/11
13 Seconds is a short documentary film that uses animation, live action, and a vocal mosaic of literally hundreds of recorded testimonials never heard before from people who were in and around Ground Zero that fateful day of 9/11. It is the collective voice of hundreds of New Yorkers, a very real, emotional and powerful exploration into the resiliency of the human spirit.
Matthew Ferraro, the director, recorded the reactions of hundreds of survivors right after the disaster. He interwove these voices into a powerful musical creation. That composition is the basis of the film.
